Irish Influence in the Adirondacks (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
Tannery Pond Community Center, North Creek, NY
Reception at the Widlund Gallery for the "Irish Influence in the Adirondacks" exhibit, by the Irish American Heritage Museum from Albany, NY;
Johnsburg Historical Society will provide refreshments.
Music by The Maiorana Family.
7 PM: Power Point slide lecture by Ryan Mahoney, Exec. Admin. at the IAHM. Mr. Mahoney will introduce displayed panels on the walls of the exhibit.
Map of Irish counties on display in the lower lobby where attendees can place one of their ID labels on their county.

Irish Influence in the Adirondacks (10:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

10:30 AM to 12: PM: Poetry reading and storytelling. Including Rob Lee, Andy Halloran, Ann Hornbeck, Mike Kelly, John Callihan and Mindy Piper with music by Dan Berggren, and John Sleckman.
12 to 1 PM: Lunch Break - Basil & Wicks is open for lunch, and serving Irish food and drink.
1 to 2:30 PM: Power Point Lecture, "Unraveling the Mysteries of Irish Genealogical Records - the 3 W's; The What, Where and Why." Presented by Genealogist Bernardette Zappala (approx. 60 minutes). Bernardette will give information on How to Trace your Irish Heritage, and present each participant with an information packet.
1 to 2:30 PM: Celtic Arts and Crafts on the lower level.
2:30 to 3 PM: Step Dancing Performances: Terri Hughes and "The Wild Irish Acres Dancers", with Lexa Hickey, TCRG and "An Clįr School of Irish Dance".
3 to 3:45: Dance Workshop - Audience Participation invited!
4 PM: Road Bowling on River Road behind Tannery Pond.

Irish Influence in the Adirondacks - Concert with the Jocelyn Pettit Band (3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
Tannery Pond Community Center, North Creek, NY
Concert - Jocelyn Pettit Band - Step-dancer, fiddler and singer of Irish/Celtic music. Hailing from the West Coast of British Columbia, Jocelyn Pettit, a vibrant fiddle player, step dancer, singer and composer, and her band will be performing at Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek, NY in conjunction with the Irish Heritage Festival on July 12 at 3 pm.

With grace and passion, Jocelyn delivers an engaging and uplifting performance of original and traditional music inspired from the Canadian and Celtic cultures of - Cape Breton, Quebec, Ireland, Scotland, Brittany (FRA), and Galicia (ESP).

With a love to travel and share the joy of music, Jocelyn has performed on stages across Canada, the U.S., Scotland, France, and Malaysia. She performed at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, to a packed BC Place Stadium, for the Victory Medals Ceremony; shared the stage with Scottish legends, The Battlefield Band; and performed with Irish super group, The Chieftains, as part of their 50th Anniversary World Tour.
Cost: $20 - Adults; children & students free
